LEAP AT AMARILLO ACTON ACADEMY

Where Independence Takes Flight!

Leap is designed for 4-year-olds who are ready to begin their journey toward becoming independent, confident learners. This isn't your typical preschool experience—Leap introduces young minds to the foundational principles that make Acton Academy unique, setting the stage for a lifetime of curious, self-directed learning.

A Different Kind of Preschool

While traditional programs focus on keeping children busy, Leap focuses on building capable, independent thinkers. Through carefully designed Montessori-inspired activities and gentle introductions to learner-driven exploration, your child will discover that learning is something they can do—not something done to them.

What Makes Leap Special?

Hands-On Discovery

Our prepared environment is filled with engaging, purposeful materials that invite exploration and mastery. Young learners choose their work, developing decision-making skills and intrinsic motivation from the very beginning.

Introduction to Socratic Discussions

During circle time, children experience their first taste of the powerful questioning methods used throughout Acton. They learn to think critically, express ideas, and listen to others—skills that will serve them for life.

Multi-Age Mentorship

Our elementary students serve as guides and friends in the Leap studio, creating a warm community where leadership and compassion are learned through authentic relationships, not lectures.

Building Independence

From the moment they walk through the door, Leap learners practice the small acts of independence that build confidence: making choices, solving problems, caring for their environment, and taking ownership of their learning journey.
